So, I purchased a camera and took online courses on photographing newborns. As my son got older, I began exploring what else I could create with my camera. Gradually, my interests developed. I started to photograph nature and landscapes and learned methods from some of the best photojournalists in the world. Eventually, I blended my favorite styles and techniques and created my own signature approach. In 2007, a friend asked me to photograph his wedding. From there, everything changed. The significance and love I was asked to preserve gave me an incredible purpose. And my passion for photography came alive in a brand new, beautiful way.
My love for photography grew from a desire to capture my own meaningful moments. I was a self-taught, proud papa who didn't want to miss a single important moment in my son's life.

I communicate and work well with just about anyone. I know how to blend in and feel the flow of your day. And I use that feeling to tell me how to photograph it.
Rather than making the day feel like a photo shoot with overly directed, scripted moments, I unobtrusively capture honest moments— that naturally look like a photo shoot.
With me by your side to guide you, you'll not only feel comfortable, but you'll look stunning - no matter what.
A meaningful connection with you is the key to understanding your vision and capturing the essence of your story and your day.
Ruben seemed so intellectual and gave me an ease of mind that everything was going to be perfect. The passion and effort he invested in making sure he would capture absolutely every detail was so impressive!
Despite the fact that I insisted that I did not know how to pose or that I did not feel so comfortable with the cameras, he managed to make me feel super comfortable on my wedding day and my husband too.

My husband and I were nervous and had anxiety thinking about knowing how to "pose," not knowing what would look good and what wouldn't, etc., and he took every one of those worries away.
The important thing is to be able to trust the person who will do the work for you, and we did with him. Working with Ruben was very special.
I consider humor one of my most extraordinary superpowers. And I promise to bring authentic laughter and a little fun with me everywhere I go.
Traveling and exploring various cultures is such a joy. I've had the privilege of photographing weddings in New York City, Miami, and across Latin America. Where to next?
I'm always on the lookout for a new book, adventure, and opportunity to learn something new and share it with the world.
I believe gratitude cures a lot of things. When I feel grateful, I feel energized. And I'm thankful for the opportunity to bring that energy to your experience.
